Jane and Nick are a fantastic couple with strong family bonds. Sharing in their wedding day was an absolute pleasure! The day began with a hair and makeup session for the ladies at the Powder Room in New Farm. Following the morning’s preparations, the service took place at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in New Farm. Jane and Nick incorporated family and friends into many aspects of their service, adding a warm and personal touch. Even the service was beautifully preformed by one of Nick’s family friends. My favourite moment was when they recessed out of the church as husband and wife because their smiles were absolutely infectious. Following the service we spent some portrait time in New Farm park and around the Powerhouse.

The reception was held at The Strand at Rugby Quay and it was decorated beautifully with flowers and birds. (Nick is a bit of a bird watching enthusiast!…… Needless to say this was a topic touched on in several of the speeches that night!) The reception was a blast and incorporated some very fun and original elements that I have never seen previously. Even their first dance had a bit of a twist! While Jane’s brother and Nick played guitars, both Nick and Jane sang to one another, and while still singing they concluded with a quick spin around the dance floor.  They rounded out the evening with live music by the one and only, Tuffy, and everyone LOVED it!

Louise & Tom were married on a beautiful April Saturday. A fashion designer, Louise looked amazing in a gown she designed herself. Between Louise’s eye for style and stunning locations such as Emporium Hotel,  All Hallows Chapel and New Farm Park, the entire day was a photographer’s dream! I look forward to sharing more photos soon.

Louise was not only a beautiful bride but is also a fashion designer with a sense of environmental responsibility and a big heart. She is the creator and driving force behind a new event that I would like to encourage everyone support. This event is called the Under A Tree Clothing Exchange, and it is a quarterly event where women can swap their clothes while supporting a charity with the proceeds of the event. Last year my very good friends, John & Jana, found out they were going to be parents. In October, last year, Jana gave birth to little Oliver, so today is her very first time to be a mom on Mother’s Day. About a month or so before Oliver’s due date we all drove down the coast to the Spit for a sunrise maternity photo shoot.  I never posted any of the shots, so I thought today might be an appropriate date to do so. Happy Mother’s Day, Jana!
